Halton Black Voices Youth Board of Directors

The HBSU provides a safe place to talk about issues and problems that Black students face in and out of school, as well as a space where they can get support to deal with how these issues have impacted them.

Deep Roots Basketball

Offering complimentary after-school sessions to provide a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for young individuals. These programs facilitate year-round gatherings, fostering a sense of community and belonging among diverse youth from local schools and the wider community. Participants enjoy sports and leisure activities, enriching their social connections and personal growth in a secure and supportive setting.

Yoga Night

These weekly sessions designed to help you unwind, de-stress, and recharge, creating a calm space to nurture both body and mind. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, all are welcome! Our instructor will guide you through a series of gentle movements and mindful breathing exercises, offering modifications to suit all levels.
