Inspired by the empowering mantra, ‘If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair,’ this exhibition celebrates resilience, determination, and the ability to carve your own space in a world that may not always offer you a place. Artists Kemahee Baker, Reynold Thomas, Vivianne Pereira, and Xavier Fuller convey stories of perseverance and strength. Bring a Folding Chair invites you to to assert your presence, and to motivate change by building stronger, more equitable communities.
